Went to the Big Apple Comic Con today with my son Andrew in Manhattan. Lotsa fun, a few stars, artists, tons of toys and comics there. Carrie Fisher was there from SW. Sorry no pics of her as they had her behind curtains ($5 a photo, $30 a signature).
Started out getting on line outside the con site and they hired this dude to give out flyers (holy bad fit Batman!)
There was this vendor with signed lithographs and original art, some of it was just superb.
Couple of hundred to several thousand bucks each.
Certainly my favorite: jack Kirby.

This is the guy who played Darth Maul in SW (Park?) with my son. Nice guy, wish they had had him more in the films.
Some chicky who's always at this convention selling her photos, videos. Very cute.
If you wanted some blades or knives they had plenty. I prefer these swords for sure.

If I were ever to collect any other category of stuff, it would be statues. But I'd have to spend my kids college funds cause they can sure run you some bills. The small busts start at $25 and the larger full size statues are >$300.
These are neat, especially that spiderman and that base.
God forbid they should make a Marvel Select piece like this. Take a close look at Spiderman in the water under the bride (sewer?). This piece is amazing.

The picture doesnt do any justice to this piece. The only better siver surfer is the one where he's standing straight up, holding the board, but it wasnt out of the box.

This is a Heroclik game figure that Wizard has for $45. Its huge, never been one like it. Maybe 7" tall. Even though we have quite a few HCs, they seem to produce these at astonishing speed. Cant keep up with them.

The new Marvel Select better be close to this...
Kinda funny, but Toybiz should make this in some Marvel Legend or other toy line. This is LockJaw, part of the inhumans. Love to see them all, especially Black Bolt. See the new Ultimate FF #1 Annual for some pics.
Ok. Heres some stuff I got. Usualyy at bthese things, I try to concentrate on older stuff I missed. I haggle on price and usually thats why the last day of the Con is best. The Dead Pool Andrew took out of the box before the pic, but its one of those 10" Tpybiz figs from 1998. We have maybe 10 of those. Never seem them any place and this is the only one they had. $5.
Now you can yell at me - there was this vendor who had an unopened case of ML 11. Thats right. I thought I would die. AND HE HAD NOT ONLY WONDERMAN, BUT THE PUPLE VARIANT. Even if this was never a top character, it was real nice. BUT he wanted $40 for it. Sorry. From experience, the last 2 ML lines rolled into stores in great quantities and I overspent ordering ML10 online. And I think thei series wont be as popular, so theres good chance they will be there on the pegs for a while.

The Hulk Buster is huge. Not the best colors, but if its true to the character, so be it.
Sorry for the bad pic. The Abomination was one I wanted from the Hulk Classics line, but never saw it. $12. Now the Justice League Jim Lee Batman is just outrageously good. And the price was more than nice: $9. Movie Dr. Doom (first series) is cool, lights up. A little much ($12) but ok.

Awesome pics Galactus, too bad we didn't all go together on one day...I seen atable with all the statues and busts and the Ghost Rider bust they had there was insane looking, I think it runs for 45-50 online, so I'm sure the price is the same at the con...
